Founder, Pan African Women in Health (PAWH)
Belinda Ngongo is the founder of the Pan African Women in Health (PAWH), an organization supporting women working in the health sector across Africa. She also serves as the co-chair of the council of advisors for Women Economic Imperative (WEI). A seasoned social impact leader with more than 15 years’ experience in global health, Ms. Ngongo has dedicated her career engaging the private sector in health issues through forging public-private partnerships (PPP) to increase access to populations at the bottom of the economic pyramid in emerging markets. She has worked for global corporations including Becton Dickinson (BD), Medtronic Foundation and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). Based in Johannesburg, South Africa, she holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) in health policy and management and international health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and a Bachelor of Science Honours in Applied Chemistry from the University of the Witwatersrand. She also served as a Fellow of the Global Health Leaders’ Program at the Public Health Institute, Oakland, California.
