Dr. Mark Barone holds a PhD in Human Physiology and has more than two decades of experience in public and global health. He is currently Vice-President of the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), Founder and General Manager of the Intersectoral Forum to Fight NCDs in Brasil (ForumDCNTs), member of the Steering Committee of Life for a Child (LFAC) International Program, member of the Education Department of the Brazilian Diabetes Society (SBD), and researcher and programs manager at the ADJ Diabetes Brasil. Dr. Mark has also served as a fellow of the Global Health Leaders' Program at Public Health Institute, Oakland CA, USA.
